This month's theme for our little portrait loop was flowers and it couldn't have come at a better time since right now the New Forest is covered in blankets of the most beautiful hues of pinks and purples.
The July Portrait Loop~ All About The Details
And it's that time again for our Portrait Blog Circle! was really excited about this month's "Details" theme because capturing the little details during a sessions happens to be one of my favourite things. I can guarantee you that when you have a session with me your gallery will be filled with the little details of a moment.
The June Portrait Loop~ Self-Portaits
This months theme for our portrait blog loop was Self-portraits. This was actually a theme I chose and I had a great idea that I wanted to do for it but the universe had other ideas!

This little monthly project has been something that I really look forward to each month and this month's theme is colour. I decided to ask Nixie if she wanted to help me and asked her of she had any ideas and without any pause she came up with the idea of covering herself in paint.

This month it's all about the copper pipe. I have always wanted to have a play with shooting through a copper pipe to try to create what others have called "the ring of fire" but first I needed to find myself a piece of pipe.
The March Portrait Loop: Artificial Light
This month's portrait loop is all about artificial light, and for this I wanted to do something in nature with candles...This past week as the world is going a bit crazy, and feeling increasingly surreal, the forest has been my solace. Mother Nature has brought lightness to where there was heaviness, and peace to where there was anxiousness. My equilibrium has been restored.

I cannot believe it is already the end of February, how is it possible? At least this year we have one extra day of this month as it's a leap year and what better day to post our second installment of our Portrait Blog Circle, this month it's all about Long Exposures.

This year I am very excited to announce that I have teamed up with a few other photographers for a monthly Portrait Blog Circle. It is a way for us to try out new creative techniques and push ourselves out of our comfort zone. This month our challenge was to shoot with a prism, which is something I had never done before!
