Rebirthing Women Breathwork Retreat
We then gathered together in the yurt and spent some time introducing ourselves. There was something really special about watching a group of women, many of whom had never met before, begin to open up and share pieces of themselves.
Milk Project Update
It's been a few weeks since I put my new Milk project into the world and I just want to say I am blown away by all of the emails I have received from people all over the UK wanting to take part . So many of you have shared pieces of your hearts with me and for that I am truly honoured.
Featured in Juno Magazine!
Today I recieved some very happy post; the Late Summer issue of JUNO Magazine where my MILK project was featured once again. It always feels so good to see my work in print and even better so when it is featured in a magazine that I love so much.

"RIP My Youth" Celebration Photo Session~Wareham Photographer~ Ann Owen Photography
When Steph shared with me her idea of wanting to do "RIP My Youth" Session to honour herself turning 40 I was so incredibly excited! It is not the kind of session I normally do and it was so much fun doing something a bit different.
Meeting Mormor
I wish you could have known my mamma, your mormor before Alzheimer's came along and took so much of her away. I wish you could have been able to see my mamma in the way I do. We've been back a week now from our incredibly love filled trip to Sweden connecting with family but there's one big thing that I can't stop thinking about: the way you, Nixie, felt about seeing your mormor.
Discarded With Honour
When Jo Hancock first shared her Discarded With Honour project, I was instantly inspired. When she invited other photographers to join in her project each week for the month of December I was so happy to be able to be part of it. We didn't need to actually discard the objects unless we wanted to, but we did need to honour them in whichever way that felt right. I didn't know at the time just how cathartic and powerful this project would be for me.
Coast to Coast Project ~July | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
July has been an incredible month for spending time in the sea. We have enjoyed so many swims together as a family and have had so many wonderful adventures. We have especially loved heading over to Charmouth Beach to pick sea glass and which has become our new favourite family activity.
Krisztina, Graeme & Mia In The New Forest~ Ann Owen Family Photographer
This was my first session of the year after coming out of lockdown and what an incredible session it was. Words can't express how good it feels to be able to work again and do what I love! I am so looking forward to more incredible sessions in the forest! I am also happy to announce that I am also booking at-home maternity & newborn sessions, I can't wait to hear from you and to help you create memories!
A Through The Window Session | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
Just towards the end of the second lockdown, I had my first 'Through the Window' session and it was so incredibly special. "Lockdown two wasn’t a surprise for me. I hoped that it wouldn’t happen, but it wasn’t as big of a shock as it was the first time. It did bring a feeling of sadness though as the hope of seeing my mother, grandmother and my sister and her family this year was pushed back yet again."
A Sisterhood and Breastfeeding Session | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
This was such a special session which happened way back in September when the beautiful Heather was still in bloom, the forest is looking so much different now! This was my first session with two friends who also happened to both be breastfeeding, and I really hope it isn't my last! It was all about sisterhood and celebrating where we are at in our motherhood journeys and it just genuinely filled me up with so much joy!
The Documentary Family Awards | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
This morning I woke up to the news that one of my images I had submitted to the international Documentary Family Awards actually placed third place in the Black Lives Matter category!
