This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, it began a few years ago on Monday Jan 1, 2018 when I did 1 day a week switching days each week which I did for two years and then for year three I only did them for each full moon and changed the format of them. Now I'm in my fourth year of doing this project, I began with the intention of doing them weekly but that hasn't been happening so I'm doing them whenever it feels right up until I reach Week 52 but still focusing on our weekends or when we are all together and have returned to my original way of doing them which is choosing 25 images for the day. Hope you enjoy following along!
Week 6 Year 4
After making our morning coffee it was all about making lunches and packing for another day out at Charmouth Beach. And of course the two of you did your own packing and filled a couple of shopping bags worth of stuffed animals that just needed to accompany us on the car ride. We had such an amazing time last weekend…the lure of sea glass is too strong to keep us away!
Week 5 Year 4
As soon as our feet touched the sand we found sea glass, it was everywhere! This seems to be our family's current obsession, we just can't get enough of searching for sea glass! Even you, Forrest, were finding sea glass and bringing it to us and you, Nixie, found the first blue piece of the day. We spent hours upon hours just wandering the beach, taking it nice and slow looking for treasures. It was blissful!
Week 4 Year 4
We had a really wonderful outing, one of those mini adventures that made me feel so happy. There were so many little moments that I don’t want to forget such as you, Forrest, jumping up and down the sloping paths and little seaweed covered stones while me, Nixie and daddy were busy collecting samphire....
Post 3 Year 4
What an incredible day we had! It is day three of our five day holiday to the Isle of Wight and our day started with a little adventure at the beach and then we headed to Blackgang Chine for the second day in a row. We ended our day with another evening at the beach exploring the low tide. An absolutely perfect day! This is also my entry for Artefact Motherhood a project shared with other international female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.
Post 2 Project 4
Today was Father's day so it was all about celebrating daddy! Our day started at home opening presents and just playing together and listening to music. We headed out in the afternoon for a little adventure amongst the heathland where we ended up getting stuck in knee deep bog! But we also found lots of elderflower which we were all so incredibly excited about!!
Post 1 Project 4
This is the start of year 4 of doing this project but this year I'm attempting a 52 week DIML where I'll be choosing my favourite 25 images for the day! This was a great day too, we did lots of creative stuff for the first half of the day along with some chores before heading out for an evening low tide exploration and dinner at our special little spot. This evening was all about the scallops! We kept finding them everywhere even alive ones which was so exciting!
