This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, it began a few years ago on Monday Jan 1, 2018 when I did 1 day a week switching days each week which I did for two years and then for year three I only did them for each full moon and changed the format of them. Now I'm in my fourth year of doing this project, I began with the intention of doing them weekly but that hasn't been happening so I'm doing them whenever it feels right up until I reach Week 52 but still focusing on our weekends or when we are all together and have returned to my original way of doing them which is choosing 25 images for the day. Hope you enjoy following along!
Week 52 Year 2
The day went by really fast and even though we didn’t do anything spectacular it was such a great day. Everyone was getting along and all I felt was an overflowing of love all day long. These kinds of days no matter what we are doing will always be my favourite.
Week 51 Year 2
As soon as I got back you were ready with your basket. We were on a mission to pick dandelions so that we could make some dandelion bread. We thought the idea of making bread with dandelions was very exciting and so did others who we passed on our walk who were intrigued by our basket full of dandelions.
Week 39 Year 2
It’s our third year coming to Stonehenge for the Solstice and there’s always such a magical feeling in the air walking towards them in the dark. I had goosebumps and felt a little emotional, I felt a deep sense of peace and was surrounded by such beautiful energies. When we arrived at the stones we laid out our blanket and had a little picnic.
Week 29 Year 2
From the moment you (Nixie) wake up you are still in full force all about dinosaurs and talking about carnivores and herbivores, talking about how birds don't have teeth and how the triceratops take care of it's babies and a million other things, you are absolutely fascinated by dinosaurs, it's all you're interested in talking about!
Week 18 Year 2
It was one of those days that was spent mostly indoors cleaning and tidying with a little bit of creativity thrown in here and there along with a gorgeous evening walk by the sea.
Week 16 Year 2
Even though our day ended up being a bit of dramatic one, the end of the longest day of the year couldn’t have been more perfect. We had cake, roasted marshmallows, we even spent time writing down things we want to let go of and then putting them into the fire and then we also talked about our hopes and dreams and wrote down wishes to send out into the universe. It was just such a perfect evening, Forrest fell asleep in my lap and the rest of us stayed up way after the sun had gone down watching and listening to the birds flying overhead. I went to bed feeling so happy and blissful. My heart felt full.
Week 13 Year 2
After running some errands, it was one of those lazy days at home creating and baking and if I wasn't trying to get Forrest to sleep I was trying to keep both of you happy. It was a day of trying to find the balance.
Week 10 Year 2
It was a really great day although we didn't get up to much. It was a day spent at home lounging around. Forrest held his first balloon, had his first big belly laugh and Nixie & Kevin made cupcakes. We had plans to head to the woods but making cupcakes ended up somehow taking up most of the day!
