Motherhood Session Amongst The Gorse
I do so love this time of year, a time when nature seems to burst into the most beautiful colours. I especially love the bright yellow Gorse flowers and I was so happy to have an evening motherhood session among them with the ever so beautiful Kelly and her two little wildlings Lois & Cameron.
"RIP My Youth" Celebration Photo Session
When Steph shared with me her idea of wanting to do "RIP My Youth" Session to honour herself turning 40 I was so incredibly excited! It is not the kind of session I normally do and it was so much fun doing something a bit different.
I wish you could have known my mamma, your mormor before Alzheimer's came along and took so much of her away. I wish you could have been able to see my mamma in the way I do. We've been back a week now from our incredibly love filled trip to Sweden connecting with family but there's one big thing that I can't stop thinking about: the way you, Nixie, felt about seeing your mormor.
Lauren's Maternity Session~ New Forest Photographer~ Ann Owen Photography
I absolutely love maternity sessions, I love seeing the power of what our bodies are capable of and this session with Lauren was incredibly special to me. Lauren was 33 weeks pregnant with twins when we had our session and she has not had an easy journey throughout her pregnancy.
Visit Bourne Green~ Bournemouth~ World Breastfeeding Week~ August 1-7
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with the ever so amazing Caroline & Katy at their gorgeous shop Bourne Green in Boscombe, Bournemouth. Besides having a great time chatting with them I also had the honour of hanging some of my feeding images on their wall for Breastfeeding week. This Friday, August 5, they have Lucinda Holman IBCLC coming from 12-13:00 to answer any questions you may have.
Cherrie's Maternity Session~ New Forest Photographer~ Ann Owen photography
This was such a special session to me because I've photographed Cherrie and her gorgeous family since she was pregnant with her second daughter, Cora, two years ago. Now they are about to become a family of five.
Discarded With Honour
When Jo Hancock first shared her Discarded With Honour project, I was instantly inspired. When she invited other photographers to join in her project each week for the month of December I was so happy to be able to be part of it. We didn't need to actually discard the objects unless we wanted to, but we did need to honour them in whichever way that felt right. I didn't know at the time just how cathartic and powerful this project would be for me.
Laura, Johnny, Ava & Amara~ Ann Owen New Forest Photographer
This grey day in August has me revisiting past galleries which I never got around to sharing. This session was with Laura and her three children, sessions where the kids can just play and have fun are my favourite kind of sessions and this one was exactly that.
Nathalie & Aidan~ Ann Owen New Forest Photographer
It is always such an incredible honour to be trusted to capture memories of the postpartum journey and it is one of my favourite spaces to be in. The moment I met Nathalie it felt like meeting up with an old friend. What an incredible woman she is. This was such a special session.
Coast to Coast Project ~July | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
July has been an incredible month for spending time in the sea. We have enjoyed so many swims together as a family and have had so many wonderful adventures. We have especially loved heading over to Charmouth Beach to pick sea glass and which has become our new favourite family activity.
Coast to Coast Project ~June | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
The month of June has been an incredible month for us at the sea. We have created so many memories at our special little spot, evening swims and dinners have begun again and we even had another mini holiday over to the Isle of Wight where we explored so many different beaches! Such a great month by the sea!
Coast to Coast Project ~May | New Forest Photographer | Ann Owen Photography
The beginning & the middle parts of this month may have been a bit of a let down but the end of this month has made up for it. The sun has been shining and we even managed to have our first mini family holiday after over 20 months of not going anywhere to Durdle Door which is one of my favourite places.
