Pippin's Birth Story
On the full moon, on February 15, I had the incredible honour of witnessing the beautiful birth story of of the absolute goddess that is Lucy Rose & her little boy, Pippin.
Jude's Birth Story~ Ann Owen Birth Photographer
She went through her surges quietly, completely in her own world on the threshold of the divine. She seemed to be in the most profound and sacred trance, a communion between her and her son. Moments like these take my breath away. To be able to bear witness to these awe inspiring moments is not something I take for granted. It is truly the most incredible honour of my life.
Milk Project Update
It's been a few weeks since I put my new Milk project into the world and I just want to say I am blown away by all of the emails I have received from people all over the UK wanting to take part . So many of you have shared pieces of your hearts with me and for that I am truly honoured.
Joseph's Newborn Session~ Isle of Wight Photographer~ Ann Owen Photography
On this sunday afternoon I'm sitting here reflecting on some of my favourite newborn sessions, I can't believe I have never shared this session and that it was almost a year ago. I can't believe it was one year ago today that I was taking the ferry across to Isle of Wight to spend time with the sweetest couple, Rosie & Josh for their pregnancy session to only return about a month later to meet their gorgeous little Joseph.
Featured in Juno Magazine!
Today I recieved some very happy post; the Late Summer issue of JUNO Magazine where my MILK project was featured once again. It always feels so good to see my work in print and even better so when it is featured in a magazine that I love so much.

A Year Ago Today: Wilbur's Birth Story~ Ann Owen Poole Birth Photographer
I cannot believe this was already a year ago, it feels like yesterday when I received the call from Cherie that they were heading to the hospital and that it was time for me to make my way over there.
Pregnancy Beach Session With Rosie & Josh~ Isle of Wight Photographer~ Ann Owen Photography
From the moment we exchanged emails I knew they were my kind of people and couldn't have been more excited to travel to the Isle of Wight to create some memories for them of this very special time in their life.
Lauren's Maternity Session~ New Forest Photographer~ Ann Owen Photography
I absolutely love maternity sessions, I love seeing the power of what our bodies are capable of and this session with Lauren was incredibly special to me. Lauren was 33 weeks pregnant with twins when we had our session and she has not had an easy journey throughout her pregnancy.
Cherrie's Maternity Session~ New Forest Photographer~ Ann Owen photography
This was such a special session to me because I've photographed Cherrie and her gorgeous family since she was pregnant with her second daughter, Cora, two years ago. Now they are about to become a family of five.
Discarded With Honour
When Jo Hancock first shared her Discarded With Honour project, I was instantly inspired. When she invited other photographers to join in her project each week for the month of December I was so happy to be able to be part of it. We didn't need to actually discard the objects unless we wanted to, but we did need to honour them in whichever way that felt right. I didn't know at the time just how cathartic and powerful this project would be for me.
Nathalie & Aidan~ Ann Owen New Forest Photographer
It is always such an incredible honour to be trusted to capture memories of the postpartum journey and it is one of my favourite spaces to be in. The moment I met Nathalie it felt like meeting up with an old friend. What an incredible woman she is. This was such a special session.
