When I first met Cherrie and her family she was 40 weeks plus 6 days pregnant and so very much ready to meet the newest member of their beautiful family. I had a wonderful time photographing her with 19 month old daughter Ettie and soon to be big sister. 

Five days after our session in the early hours of the morning little Cora, a little girl, was born in the comfort of their own home. I had the honour to be there right at the beginning of their journey as a family of four and words cannot express what an honour it was. It was this session that for me felt as though I was finally creating the kind of images I have always dreamed about. I am also so incredibly grateful for them for allowing me to share these increedibly personal images and for them giving me their trust to capture memories from this incredibly sacred time. Most of my clients prefer not to have their images be shared which is also 100% OK! But when I am allowed to do so I secretly do a little happy dance. 

There were so many moments during this session where I felt really emotional but in the most beautiful of ways. There was just so much love present and they were so relaxed within themselves making the transition from a family of three to four seem so effortless. This family will forvevr have a piece of my heart.
