"We met Ann in the forest on a chilly spring afternoon and it felt like she appeared straight out of the woods, she was so in touch and sensitive to both the woodland surroundings and our personality as a family. A very down to earth photographer who made us feel at ease and like we were meeting an old friend. The images she captured are just magical..."
I cannot believe it has been over three months ago just a couple of days before the winter solstice ago that I got to meet little Juniper, what an incredibly special session it was and one that I will always remember. I had already had an incredibly inspiring maternity session with Beccy in the forest when she was 40 weeks + 2 days pregnant.
When I first met Cherrie and her family she was 40 weeks plus 6 days pregnant and so very much ready to meet the newest member of their beautiful family. I had a wonderful time photographing her with 19 month old daughter Ettie and soon to be big sister.
I cannot believe that this was my last session before Corona Virus changed everything. It was a beautiful last session and hanging out with this lovely mama in the forest was the perfect start to the day.
Being out in the woods is one of my favourite things and combine that with getting to photograph and spend time with Cher, an incredible mama who is 37 weeks pregnant and her beautiful family is my version of a perfect afternoon. We met up in the afternoon and had our fingers crossed that it would stay dry, we already had to cancel once due to the weather.
I love cosy indoor sessions and my time with this beautiful mama and her family was such a perfect way to spend a wet, grey & cold day.
Maternity and newborn sessions make my heart happy and when I'm able to document both for a family it fills my heart with such joy. I absolutely love capturing a woman during her last few weeks of pregnancy, it really is such a magical time in ones life.
