This morning me and daddy got out of bed round 7 and left you, Forrest sound asleep lasting almost sideways on the bed. You are such an acrobat in your sleep!

Nixie, you were already downstairs watching that girl layle on your tablet with your headphones on. Daddy made me and him coffee and i sat down in what seems to have become my morning spot and did a little crocheting. Maybe 20 minutes later I heard you, Forrest call for me and I went up and had a snuggle before carrying you down. I do so love your halfawake squeezes. As soon as you came down you wanted to play starwars with daddy and the way you are together when playing is really sweet! You, Forrest, know so much and had to help daddy at times and at other times daddy needs to help you and just hearing you chat away about it all is really the loveliest thing, because of this game you've become really into starwars.

Nixie, you ran upstairs to get the new tooth that the tooth fairy brought you, this time a tooth from an onchosaurus and you were so happy, yesterday you lost another tooth and you had been so excited to see what the tooth fairy would bring you. And you had written the sweetest letter to her as well telling her she was the best and asking her how many tooth fairys there are.

We have a new family member named George, our little praying mantis and I’m always catching you, Nixie admiring him or her and saying how beautiful he is. Today you had a go at misting his enclosure and then we both held him for a little bit. He has quite the rambunctious personality and loves to explore.

Afterwards you went upstairs and sat at your desk and brought your tablet to watch your show while you decided to write a letter to one of your friends using your new stationery. As I came to your room and saw you sitting there it amazes me how grown up you have become! Since turning 8 I feel there's been such a huge shift take place within you. You are just the sweetest loveliest little girl and I am so proud of you.

We were going to have a day out fossil hunting but then changed our minds as me and daddy really wanted to get on top of some chores and finish sorting out your rooms and the garden. After I did the dishes that had piled up I began with getting all your (Forrest) toys back into your room and into their place, and then realised we needed another trip to IKEA for yet another kallax to make the best use out of your space.

While i sorted the inside of our house daddy was busy sorting the back garden by weeding, clearing and watering and it looks so much better! We just got out very first lawnmower yesterday which make both me and daddy feel like proper grownups. The two of you were immersed in a game of starbwars together until it was time for us to go to IKEA. I can't believe this will be the 4th time in a couple of weeks!

In the car, you, Nixie were showing me your notebook where you write down all of your animal facts. You also showed me this page with symbols that you've drawn to represent the solstice and their was a picture of a cat because as you say we are getting our sphynx cat then. I agree with you and I love how you and I have our hearts set on this and we just need to convince daddy. We ended up needing to pull over at the petrol station in burley so that you, Forrest could do a quick wee. It was an emergency. Luckily we made it in time.

Our adventure in IKEA couldn't have gone smoother and daddy surprised you, Nixie, with the citronella candle you've had your eyes on the last couple of times we've been there. You of course had to bring in Grogu to give him a tour of Ikea since he had never been before. You also got your own pineapple plant which you are super excited about. We ended our IKEA trip with vegan hotdogs for me and daddy and cinnamon rolls and ice cream and milk shake for the two of you. There were a few tears from you, Forrest, when you spilt a little of your ice cream on the floor but Nixie, you managed to cheer him up and shared your milk shake with him. You were also being so so snuggly and it just made me smile. You really seem so happy these days and it just fille my whole world with the most beautiful feelings. Before heading home we just needed to stop by go outdoors for some air mattresses. Forrest you were not in the mood at all, I think you were about to fall asleep just as we arrived and you had a big upset because Nixie unbuckled you but then daddy cheered you up by asking you to try to squeeze into his pocket which you actually tried to do and then Nixie you said to me how you love it when daddy does funny things like that. Our adventure in this store went super fast we were in and out in about 10 minutes with our blow up beds and then homeward bound we were. Forrest, you were sound asleep within 5 minutes. When we got home we still had a hard time waking you up but eventually you did.

Before continuing with our chores me and daddy made some coffee but then I realised that we needed to harvest some of our chamomile which we will be using for our salves so you, Nixie helped me with that while you, Forrest continued to play your star wars game and while daddy mowed our front garden. Afterwards we did some more wildlife spotting in our pond and one of our little frogs that live there always makes us laugh with the way he poses in the water. You, Nixie, especially love this pond and are constantly in and out observing what's inside. Just the other day you discovered that we have newts! And it's lso full of tadpoles which is super strange because for a while they seemed to have completely disappeared!

Once back inside I continued with my mission of sorting out the craft and dining room, I was determined to get rid of a whole kallax and find new homes for what was in it as it was making the room feel to full of stuff and I am so pleased that I did it and it feels so much better in there now. Daddy was outside finishing up for the day by watering the garden with the hose which when the two of you saw you ran out to get sprayed and had such a great time. The giggles were absolutely fabulous! Somehow the days seem to fly by and all of a sudden it had gone past dinner time so we decided to just order dominos. Nixie you were the sweetest and served us all of our drinks.

After dinner I put the new sheets on our bed, then finished crocheting a row on my sofa cover while daddy put more stuff into the loft. Then it was time for bed. We didn't quite finish sorting your room, Forrest, but you still wanted to sleep in your bed but only if I slept in it with you so after you had your teeth brushed we both climbed up and got cosy in your new loft bed. You just got it this past Tuesday and youve only slept in it that first night with me. We ended up moving back into the family bed though because it was too hot and the shelf where the fan is going to go we didn't get sorted this evening.

You, Forrest, took a long time to fall asleep and tonight you wanted numnum which you haven't asked for at night for what seems like ages. I can really feel our breastfeeding journey slowly coming to an end so when you do ask for numnum it feels extra special. Once you were asleep I went downstairs just to say hi/goodnight  to you, Nixie and daddy who were having starwars night which you had just begun because the two of  you ended up having a  very exciting evening while I was with Forrest, you saw a stag beetle, a bat in our garden and had got to spend time with foxy! I completely missed out!

I left the two of you to your movie and went back upstairs to get some work done before joining Forrest in Dreamland.
