This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, it began a few years ago on Monday Jan 1, 2018 when I did 1 day a week switching days each week which I did for two years and then for year three I only did them for each full moon and changed the format of them. Now I'm in my fourth year of doing this project, I began with the intention of doing them weekly but that hasn't been happening so I'm doing them whenever it feels right up until I reach Week 52 but still focusing on our weekends or when we are all together and have returned to my original way of doing them which is choosing 25 images for the day. Hope you enjoy following along!

It was such a good day for us. I finally had finished my editing marathon for some clients and had a day where my focus could be completely on Nixie. For the last while our days begin around 5 AM and the first thing Nixie wanted to do was pop the last ballons that were still hanging up from her 3rd birthday. The rest of the morning was filled with chores, we had a lovely surprise from the cats in which one of them weed and pood on the bed which meant another trip to the laundromat was needed to clean the duvet.
week 17 Year 1
It was an unusual day. Kevin stayed home sick which is something that rarely ever happens. I took this opportunity to go to the laundromat on my own. A week of camping and two long weekends in a row out of town meant that we had a crazy pile of laundry that seemed neverending! When I got back home poor Kevin looked so rough so me and Nixie went on a little adventure down the quay for ice cream and in the later afternoon we headed to the woods
week 16 Year 1
I had woken up feeling really stressed for various reasons but by the end of the day I felt so good. Everything began to shift when we went out for a little walk to Buckland Rings. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining, and you could feel that spring had truly arrived, all the flowers in full bloom, vibrant colours were everywhere. Nixie was in one of the best moods ever, extra affectionate, super easygoing and so full of love and joy.
week 15 Year 1
It was the day after getting home from camping which meant there was lots and lots of laundry to do but the chores couldn't keep us inside and we headed to Brockenhurst for a little morning adventure in the woods before resigning ourselves to a day indoors.
week 14 Year 1
It was Day 2 of our 9 day camping trip & in comparison to our first day, a much cooler and gloomier day with a bit of rain but it didn't matter to us, we still had a wonderful day drinking hot chocolate, building bridges, climbing in ditches, exploring the woods, finding superworms, tadpoles, & tiny slugs which we then had to search for a bigger one (their mamma) before she was ready to set them free..
week 13 Year 1
It was one of those days where the last thing I wanted to do was pick up my camera, I was just not in the mood for this project at all! But I made a promise to myself when I began this project that no matter what I wouldn't miss a day so I persevered and decided I didn't care if I didn't do a very good job. I'm finding this project quite interesting, it's fun to see what kind of images I create based on my ever changing moods!
week 12 Year 1
It was the beginning of Easter weekend so Kevin had the day off which was so nice, I love it when we get to all be together even if we're just having a lazy day at home. Actually, I think that lazy days at home can be some of the best days!
week 11 Year 1
It was an exceptionally great day, maybe a bit full-on but still a wonderful one! It marked our start of camping season and Nixie could not have been more excited, I was worried we were going to have to cancel our trip due to Nixie being so poorly a couple of days before but luckily she got a lot better, still very coldy, with a runny nose but I'm so happy we decided to go ahead with our plans because it was a day to remember.
week 10 Year 1
It was another really good day. We spent the morning and afternoon with some of our favourite people, Elina & Levana. Nixie just adores and loves Levana so much, I love watching their special friendship grow. The only thing is I wished I would have brought my tripod so I could have gotten in the frame more, we were only meant to see each other for a little bit while we were on our way to see the horses but we ended up spending most of the day together.
week 9 Year 1
I woke up in the grumpiest of moods due to not getting very much sleep & I was not in the mood for this project at all! But Nixie was in one of the greatest, happiest moods ever, so full of vibrant energy jumping and dancing around the house giggling away that it didn't take long for her mood to rub off on me.
Week 8 Year 1
We had a really fun relaxing day playing games at home, getting a bit messy and a beautiful walk to the woods with a little stop on the way to give some horses some love.
Week 7 Year 1
This a day in my life project was filled with so many different emotions. I left for a two night trip to Sweden to see my mom & it was the second time being away from Nixie overnight, the first time was 6 months ago when I had to make an emergency trip to Sweden when my mom was in hospital. My mom has Alzheimer's and had moved to an assisted living facility after her hospital stay and this was the first time I had been able to visit her there.
