This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, it began a few years ago on Monday Jan 1, 2018 when I did 1 day a week switching days each week which I did for two years and then for year three I only did them for each full moon and changed the format of them. Now I'm in my fourth year of doing this project, I began with the intention of doing them weekly but that hasn't been happening so I'm doing them whenever it feels right up until I reach Week 52 but still focusing on our weekends or when we are all together and have returned to my original way of doing them which is choosing 25 images for the day. Hope you enjoy following along!
Wolf Moon~ January~ Year Three
What brilliant day we had! It was a day of being creative, having adventures and even finding our first frogspawn of the year! This is also my entry for Artefact Motherhood a project shared with other international female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.
Week 52 Year 2
The day went by really fast and even though we didn’t do anything spectacular it was such a great day. Everyone was getting along and all I felt was an overflowing of love all day long. These kinds of days no matter what we are doing will always be my favourite.
Week 51 Year 2
As soon as I got back you were ready with your basket. We were on a mission to pick dandelions so that we could make some dandelion bread. We thought the idea of making bread with dandelions was very exciting and so did others who we passed on our walk who were intrigued by our basket full of dandelions.
Week 50 Year 2
We decided to go on a walk to our little beach and you wanted to ride your bike...You had always said you weren't going to take your stabilisers off until you are all grown up, until you are twenty but for some amazing reason you wanted to try without them and you did amazingly!! It made me all emotional, and the tears began to flow.
Week 49 Year 2
We're on our second week of lock down and we're really missing the forest. We stopped going there last Thu and haven’t left the house at all since then. The sunny weather makes me feel so restless but we’ve been spending time in our tiny garden getting it ready for all of our seedlings that will soon be ready to go outside.
