This is my personal project and one that is very close to my heart: Photographing one whole day in my life, it began a few years ago on Monday Jan 1, 2018 when I did 1 day a week switching days each week which I did for two years and then for year three I only did them for each full moon and changed the format of them. Now I'm in my fourth year of doing this project, I began with the intention of doing them weekly but that hasn't been happening so I'm doing them whenever it feels right up until I reach Week 52 but still focusing on our weekends or when we are all together and have returned to my original way of doing them which is choosing 25 images for the day. Hope you enjoy following along!
Wolf Moon~ January~ Year Three
What brilliant day we had! It was a day of being creative, having adventures and even finding our first frogspawn of the year! This is also my entry for Artefact Motherhood a project shared with other international female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.
Cold Moon~December~ Year Three
Today was all about nourishing ourselves. Our minds, our bodies, our spirits and our souls. We headed to Milford on sea to go for a walk by the sea and what a gorgeous morning it was, the sun came out and was shining down on us and it felt so incredibly blissful. You and Forrest had fun throwing stones into the sea. I had fun taking some photos of the sea and enjoyed some moments of just being able to listen to the waves. I love how soothing the sea can be. It's always exactly what I need it to be.
Beaver Moon~ November~ Year Three
Our day started with an early morning outing to the heathland but then we ended up having a cosy day at home. We made some moon spell cookies and added some cinnamon to one batch for success and love and orange peel to another batch for joy and good luck...
Hunter's Moon~ October~ Year Three
Today was a spectacular day! It was Samhain and also special surprise birthday celebrations! This is also my entry for Artefact Motherhood a project shared with other international female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.
Harvest Moon~ October~ Year Three
It was a day that started out with some crafts at home before heading out to spend the day with some of our friends. We took them to one of our new favourite places in the forest where we had a picnic and played amongst the trees and the ferns.
Corn Moon~ September~ Year Three
What an incredible day we had!! It was a day of beautiful adventures and our first proper bike ride in the forest just the three of us. We had an amazing home ed meet-up in the woods and did a lot of exploring and hanging out with friends. It was pretty much the perfect day.
Sturgeon Moon~ August~Year Three
Nixie had forest school which meant me and daddy got to have some one on one time with Forrest. We ended up going on a beautiful walk amongst the heath-land and once Nixie was back with us we ended up having an impromptu play in one of the streams while we released some more of our frogs.
Buck Moon~ July~Year Three
This was a beautiful day. We had a relaxed day at home working on projects and then we headed for an evening adventure where everyone got covered in the smelliest of mud! This is also my entry for Artefact Motherhood a project shared with other international female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.
Strawberry Moon~June~Year Three
This marks the first entry for year three! This time I'm doing them every full moon and this day of the full moon was an emotional one but a day where so many memories were made. Both happy ones and sad ones. We spent time in the forest and had magical experiences but Forrest also got hurt which shook us up (luckily he was OK) but we also spent a beautiful evening by the sea.
Week 52 Year 2
The day went by really fast and even though we didn’t do anything spectacular it was such a great day. Everyone was getting along and all I felt was an overflowing of love all day long. These kinds of days no matter what we are doing will always be my favourite.
Week 51 Year 2
As soon as I got back you were ready with your basket. We were on a mission to pick dandelions so that we could make some dandelion bread. We thought the idea of making bread with dandelions was very exciting and so did others who we passed on our walk who were intrigued by our basket full of dandelions.
Week 50 Year 2
We decided to go on a walk to our little beach and you wanted to ride your bike...You had always said you weren't going to take your stabilisers off until you are all grown up, until you are twenty but for some amazing reason you wanted to try without them and you did amazingly!! It made me all emotional, and the tears began to flow.
